Trademark Complaint Policy

This policy covers claims that Melon Sandbox user-generated content infringes a trademark, service mark, trade name, logo, or trade dress. It is not intended for copyright, privacy, defamation, or general brand impersonation complaints unless trademark rights are involved.

Trademark complaints should include:

1. The complainant's full name, organization, mailing address, and email address.
2. The trademark owner's name if the complainant acts as an authorized agent.
3. The trademark registration number, jurisdiction, and classes, or evidence of unregistered rights.
4. The specific Melon Sandbox URL or identifier where the allegedly infringing content appears.
5. An explanation of how the content is likely to confuse consumers or otherwise infringes the asserted rights.
6. A statement that the complaint is accurate and submitted in good faith.

We review trademark complaints for completeness and apparent legal basis. We may remove or restrict content, ask the uploader to modify content, request more information, forward the complaint to the uploader, or decline action where the report does not establish a likely trademark violation.

Uploader responses may be considered when assessing nominative fair use, parody, commentary, compatibility references, ownership disputes, and other context relevant to trademark law.
